Which company (not MModal) is the competition for Nuance? - ss

I want to work for their biggest competitor and hopefully help in taking contracts away from Nuance and causing them to feel the financial losses that we have been feeling for quite some time.

There has to be some company who is growing fast and obtaining some of their clients. Anyone?

with everything moving more in the direction of technology (front end speech and point and click) it almost seems as though Nuance has the ball in their court since they are more of a technology based company with a pretty good speech recognition product. If you find such a company, let me know.

MT is the most stressful job ever in terms of pay and stability. I have never worked so hard for such an unreliable paycheck in all my life.

The only other that can compete in the same - magnitude is Mmodal.

already have in terms of MTs, as they've not done any hiring for a while, but in reading their boards the MTs are being asked to work extra.

For me at least, they have never been that bad, in fact I hear nothing from them at all in terms of QA or anything else. I have one good account and almost never run out of work. Pay is average 8 and 4. Despite some of the naysayers not long ago on the company board, nothing bad has happened yet (although I suppose it could fall apart any day).

I like imedx too, but I dont know if they're competition for Nuance. - lots of bonuses and extra hours available.

I left MModal when they took over a company I was working for, so really I was only with them for about 2 weeks. Now I'm working for a company that Nuance is taking over. Rumor has it that now Nuance will purchase MModal!!! OMG... There will be no other company left. Nuance is horrible and now with joining hips with MModal it will be worse for all of us. I left MModal and now with Nuance and things are not better. MModal will just continue to ruin the industry and send everything offshore or to VR and pay us pennies for our knowledge and hard work.
