Low score on FIESA - anonymouse

My FIESA scores are VERY low this quarter with a lot of points being taken off for errors. Has anyone been in a situation where at the end of the quarter they had a score that was below 98% and what happened? Is that instant termination? This is astonishing to me as I will be here for 4 years and never have had low scores ever and have never been in this predicament before. Thank you for any replies.

I am so so glad I am not working here anymore. Loyalty is nothing to them. Here you have been there 4 years and what do you get for it? I hate that company.

Twice it was barely under, like 99.8% but one quarter it was 97%.

I heard absolutely NOTHING from anyone about it any of the 3 times.

The only harassment I have received is over low line count. Get below the line count and get MUP pay and you will be canned after 2 warnings.

Right now I'm at 96.something%. I know I have until the end of June, but still...that's the lowest I have ever been and I have no idea what their protocol is if you are under 98%.

So I talked to my TL today and I found out how it works. If we get below the 98% of what is expected of us they have QA work with us. So not that much of a bad thing! My TL was also awesome enough to thoroughly explain to me the new grading system and why it feels so much harder, (her explaining it in detail versus reading it on paper totally helped out and now it makes much more sense!). Hopefully my little blurb here helps anyone else out who was curious about what actually happens if you get a low score.

and the fact that the QA team decided to pull for the retro-audit reports I did on the difficult dictators that only a handful of people on the account will even attempt, I've now decided to play games back. Yup, I'm blanking the heck out of everything on these hard dictators and sending them to QA with a "100% review please" note - and at times if I've had several in a row dumping them to share the crap. I don't mind doing difficult dictators but in the past there were certain dictators that were NEVER pulled for QA audits because of their inability to speak well. Also the QA team gets by with counting off incorrectly on audits they send the last day of the month and you have I think 3 days to analyze their data and appeal it or they get by with it because you missed the "beginning of the month deadline." Guess who won't be taking vacations the end/first of the month? They want to play games, I'll play games. All is fair in love and war!

They are only pulling the hardest dictators on my accounts and only scoring them for my audits and that is basically why I am in the predicament that I am in.

This editor ONLy pulls the dictators that have major problems that others throw back because of difficulty. When I figured out that "MK" was all about taking off the maximum points for the simplest erros (comma added or deleted, she took off full point, etc.). I routinely hammer ever audit she does. I also noticed that this same editor "MK" never pulls lengthy or easy dictators, which improves your QA score dramatically. She is a wicked one. I am doing the same thing you are - they want to play games with my income, they get it right back. These editors also try to get you far enough below the 99% that even if you routinely scored high the rest of the quarter, you cannot pull it out. Very, very sneaky. I do not let 1 single audit go without a challenge unless it is an indisputable error. I have had several reversed to date. The auditing slowed WAY down, because if they have too many challenges, the editors then get in hot water and they have to undergo an audit.

with the reports that have not yet been sent to the client, and this has nothing to do with the bonus. The QA are the ones who grab reports after they have gone to the client, and these are the reports that determine whether you get bonus. It sounds like you are getting back at the wrong people. I could be confused but this is how I understood it to work.

Hate to disappoint all the Nuance newbies on here, but just when you get the hang of the "scoring system" (designed to make achieving bonus rates impossible), just when you finally "get it," Nuance will find a reason they need you on another account. Bonuses for this company are not permitted.

My QA score has stayed under 99 this quarter. They like to pull hard dictators and the things they are counting off for are ridiculous. My QC score is right around 99. There is one QA person who is just brutal everytime. They really need to change that number to 98.5 or 98 if they are going to be this brutal.

Try not to take it personally when the scoring system drags you down. Remember, it is not about your typing (probably). It is more about them nit-picking you right out of a bonus if at all possible. Bonus pay to MTs would increase their bottom line, and they do everything, including moving people from account to account real regularly when proficiency on a particular accounts begins to threaten this.
Moving MTs cause they are too good makes no sense. They - pay the same pay for every line. SM

Makes no difference if one fast MT does the lines or if 10 slow one do the lines. The pay is the same. Pay is cpl, not more cents the faster you go.

It's not that the MTs are too good, but remember, our purpose is not just to type patient reports. We are here to train their Dragon Naturally Speaking, or whatever their latest speech recognition software line is called, and the faster MTs have a tendency to do this better than slower, newer people to the account, because the more experienced people leave fewer blanks. And believe me, they are not hiring 10 slow people, but they are still shifting everyone around after their last few acquisitions. They "reduce their overhead" by shifting people to new accounts, then when they don't do well enough, fast enough, they have a good excuse to can them and keep the newer ones coming along. Meanwhile, even experienced MTs don't get bonuses while being trained on new accounts. It is a revolving door, and since they spend precious little on training for MTs, they have little to lose. There are always 3 more who haven't yet caught onto the system to fool for awhile.
If this is what you need to tell yourself, fine. But it still - makes no sense. It is not as if SM

every new N employee is a newbie straight out of school. I am sure, many, if not most, new hires are seasoned MTs. And for seasoned MTs, one set of acct specs and one bad dictator are the same as any other.

Also, I think most MTSOs are coming to understand that VR is never going to work the way they were told it would. There are just too many accents, too many ways of misprouncing a word, too many hems, and haws, and throat clearers and too many editors with different editing styles. Especially the ones that tend to say the same thing, let them get a head cold with congestion and coughing and you have a big mess. MM has pretty much said VR will not work without someone to edit it.

I will have one QA person count off for something and the next will let it go. They are so inconsistent. It is near impossible to live up to their standards. QC on the other hand, I can keep up with that. I think its interesting how QA is tied to the bonus and QC isn't. I have been on the same account for 2 years.
Inconsistent qa is one reason VR will NEVER work - the way N says it will. nm

Let us not forget that when the technology and our speed improves, which should/could typically allow more typists to reach the bonus point, they raise the line rates required for bonuses... did that across the board only recently.

Low Score On FIESA With New Grading System

Hey guys..have a question. This quarter is over this week and with the new grading system they have implemented for post-audits my QA score is quite bad at about 96% to 97%. I have never had a low score like this ever in my career and have always been between 98.5% to 99%.  Have any of you experienced a low final score for a quarter before and if you have what happened to you? Really look into your FIESA because I could not figure out why my score was falling over the last two weeks or so. I got to looking and it is not even me. I have been being charged with errors and graded on another person's mistake. I was very worried and could not figure out what was going on. He is not saying a "2" at all, and with him saying "score" right after "chad," I don't know if there should be an 's' on CHAD or not. I have tested for M*Modal TWICE now in the last few months and have only gotten an 89% accuracy rating........I have been a med trans for a long, LONG time and don't understand how I could score so low. I guess I am screwed.  In all my years I have never had this many "Major Errors".  Guess I have just been stupid my whole life and didn't know it.  Score below 98 and since they have been monitoring me quite a lot the last week or so I imagine they are done with me for the quarter.  Some of these errors are errors, but REALLY?  If/of is kind of a typo in my book.  SR had it one way and I did fail to catch it, but really had no change in context. I am CONTINUALLY getting flack about APGAR.  If I put Apgar, I get it back corrected as APGAR.  If I put APGAR, I get it back corrected as Apgar.  If I put Apgar's, comes back Apgars.  If I put Apgar's it comes back Apgars... I have my Dorland's dictionary, and it has Apgar, A capitalized, pgar lower case, but in my abbreviation guide it's all caps (APGAR). Does anyone have anything different OR perhaps a solution?  ...

What is the QA score requirement?  I thought it was 99%.  I had three audits today that scored 99.75% and was told that if I proofread the jobs better before I sent them I would catch these small mistakes (one per job).  Are we supposed to get 100% now?  Just curious.  TIA! ...

I had 0.5 points deducted on a report for invalid blanks, no other errors, yet my score in FIESA was 98.08%.   Does anyone know how these scores are calculated?  Seems to me that 100-0.5=99.5.  So, either my math is really bad or FIESA is hosing us!  I emailed my TSM about is and as usual got no response.  Thanks! ...

No matter how hard I try these days I cannot get my accuracy back to what it has been for years. I always maintained 99% or higher, mostly always right at 100% but now I cannot even get to 98% with everyone they keep marking me off for.  It has gotten ridiculous.  I have never ever had this many reports audited and marked for not having an s at the end of a word.  So disheartening when I feel I am doing so good.  Been at this for a very long time and never had anything like t ...

Figuring Out QA Score

Did you get the hoops we have to jump through now to figure out your QA score.  Can't just put in the pay date range and go by that because they are auditing reports outside the pay range, either before or after.  Then you might manage to get 2 reports audited within the pay range, after you jump through hoops and figure it out yourself.  So, what you think you are getting, when it shows up in webclock, it is way less than what you figured out in Fiesa.  This is TOTAL BS ...
