Well, it's done folks! A couple of VERY brave ladies have filed a class action suit for make up to minimum and OT issues against Transcend. If anyone is interested in getting their own going against some other MTSO's, well, it's time to be heard. We're not going to take it anymore! If you would like info on the attorneys who filed this suit, please feel free to email me. A very proud day indeed!

I was in on the Medquist class action and the lawyers must have got it all. Seems like I got 3 dollars or something. Nothing to put your neck on the line for.

They rip me off for years and I get a membership to ADHI with partial use of the Benchmark site, which sucks by the way.

The lawyers will take it all, the MTs will lose their jobs, and the remaining MTs will have to punch a time clock and will not be allowed overtime and will be fired for not working precisely their shift. I sit now for 8 hours straight with no break because in my state, breaks are not mandatory. How lovely. Lot of good that law suit did. I still make minimum wage. Whoopie!

We are not allowed OT now yet they still expect us to work extra and then 'fudge' our time cards. Ummmm...hello...THAT IS ILLEGAL. That's part of what this suit was filed to stop!

for 30 years now too many of us voted for politicians who promised to stack our courts with judges specifically chosen to benefit the few over the many, to protect Big Business from many millions of employees--not to apply the law without bias. Of course, the promises made were worded differently (!), but ignorance that could have been enlightened so easily is no excuse. When those people find themselves abused by the system they helped create, they have no right to complain even if our system still theoretically gives them the right to the justice they denied to others.

Wondering how/if all of us who work for MModal can start a class action lawsuit against them? What for you ask? Oh gee......lying to us, taking our work away from us, saying they'll pay a certain amount but really do not, bad TSMs.....etc, etc. What all those are called in legal terms, I have no idea. It takes longer to edit a report than to transcribe it! I have been keeping track of the time it takes using the process below. So, paying half the line count is just an excuse used. There is no truth to the statement that we can edit twice as fast, and your time clock production data shows this. And class actions work where 1 or 2 Plaintiffs step up and its converted to a class action for all employees. I highly, highly suggest IMEDX does the right thing, or some money grubbin attorney will be glad to take on not on IMEDX's obvious and blatant playing with lives, but also the whole industry. Fighting Nuance would be just the same as the current Transcend Lawsuit. For those who are not involved, the latest news did not look good.
