I go to the "examples" in repository and every one is formatted differently for the same work type by the same dictator. Not to mention what is probably "standard text" are all different as well. Then you have QA who mark you wrong for things one way, then you change it (against your better judgement) and do it their way, only to be marked wrong again. I started a new client for an MTSO recently. One ESL dictator's H&Ps are so out of order they require a ton of reformatting. This is the order he dictated: History of Present Illness, Past Medical History, Chief Complaint, Plan, PE, Review of Systems, Assessment/Plan. The template has to have formatting changed (bold headings and point size), the guy is very difficult to understand, does not use proper grammar and needs most sentences restructured. I have never seen pay so low for MTs....I am really pretty shocked to see some of the rates. I learned from someone who found out the hard way that it's important to make sure whatever school you go to is licensed by their state. The information is supposed to be displayed on their website and any other catalogs or ads. If not, there may be a problem. In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with Andrews. I went through their medical transcription training course and did very well with my job search.
