Don't they still have to pay minimum wage?  They can take away that $0.03 per line if we over submit to QA, but don't they still have to pay minimum wage?

Yes, they have to pay min wage; but here's the kicker... if u get min wage too often, then u will be performance managed and written up. I got a letter stating MQ had to pay me min wage and it was expected that I meet standard so as not .... Oh my dear Lord, it never ends. But, i don't think the UE office will look too kindly on a company that lets u go because you had to be paid min wage...

those who use their own, buying our own books, on and on, so who is taking advantage of whom here? MQ is taking advantage of the MT, also making job as hard as they can by taking away primary, unfamiliar docs, unfamiliar profiles, etc. Hospitals used to get along very nicely without any MTSOs, and still could.

Wow, I've heard a lot of things in the past, but I think that this one takes the cake!!!

And you are right, the UE office will definitely NOT look too kindly upon a company who lets you go (or even puts you under disciplinary action) because they had to pay you minimum wage.

I get min wage quite often and have been "coached" about it. However, I do meet my lines every week, as well as meet the QA% audit requirements. So, they can't fire me for NOT meeting standards and FOR being paid min wage.

According to UE it's illegal for them not to pay min wage and to PM you only for getting it.

Mine actually stems from the fact that my cpl rate is lower per hour than my state's min wage by $1.17. I suppose I could try to get in more lines so my cpl figured out higher, but I don't want to do it. I meet my required lines and unless they change that requirement for all, then I'll just keep on keepin on as I am.

You think they'd be thrilled to pay us minimum wage! With ASR, which is about 98% of my work, I have to do over 175 lph to beat minimum wage. That doesn't happen often. ASR keeps getting worse, and even though the reports aren't' getting shorter it seems that the line count keeps going down - or is that just me being paranoid?

I too get my lines in and work my hours (when there are jobs), but they've been paying me minimum for quite some time now and I've never heard anything about it. That's just wrong! Of course so is making minimum wage at a job you've been doing for 16 years...

I checked my pay stubs and, granted, I still was getting production bonus 5-6 months ago, but my pay has decreased so much, like $400-500. I have 2 job offers from 2 different companies, but both of these companies are fairly large and have multiple posts with complaints that there is just not enough work for everyone. Would it be possible to take both offers, on the chance that if one doesn't have work the other will? If you get NJA on a very regular basis, reply with what state you are in.  Apparently, some states require pay for downtime, CA I believe being one of them.  I'm not sure of the other states.  Obviously, work can be routed to or away from us at will, and I have a feeling they are choosing MTs from the states that mandate downtime pay over states that don't. ...

without pay we were given (13 days). If you use this for NJA you will forfeit an entire day of the time off without pay, even if it's just 1 hour. The days off are not hourly. They are daily, so if you had 1 hour left in your shift and had NJA and took the time off without pay, 1 entire day of your time off without pay would be used. Looks like MM screwed us again. ...

If you think the offer from MMoral to become a coder sounds good, think again. If you start the program and don't finish, you have to pay MM for the full cost of training, and no mention was made of how much that is. If you decide to leave MM for a coding job elsewhere, you probably won't even be considered for a job with decent pay because you didn't train through AHIMA and you will have to pay MM for your worthless training if you leave before 2 years. Has anyone read the rule book here? I tried to once but couldnt read through my tears! I believe I was told we can't take days off unless we have the PTO to cover it? This is going to be a problem. Okay, we know we cannot change our personal information that is public on Office365. Simply double click on the image area of any contact and presto, home address, etc.  Try to change your own and be instantly denied.  But do you know for months that you can go into Exponent, go to Time Reporting, then Additional Options, and click on "View Other Employee Leave" ?? Cute, I have seen this list of full names go from 60 to 31 in a few weeks, not to mention why do we have access to these ...

I'm just wondering what is with companies not calling you after you have passed a test and said they will? I don't understand it. Yes,  I realize that they may have several people, but is it too much to ask for a phone call to do an interview or something?
