Once again, improved communication does not mean sending out stupid emails that nobody cares about. How do we even know these MTs actually work for the company? For all we know they are just shuffling money in corporate. Most improved? Way to win. It means you just don't suck as bad as you used to. I think I would be embarrassed if I won that award.

Aren't we all held to 99%? So, the most improved went from 99.1 to 99.8? Stupid... just stupid. And just what the heck do you have to do to earn MT of the month? I show up when scheduled, work extra when asked, sometimes 7 days a week, do above my line counts and below the inactive time, so what is left? I do exactly as I am supposed to for the past 15 years! Where is my gift card?

You have to do 101%, have negative time on the stats for ASR, call you CCM and tell her you worked your shift and extra and suck up whenever you can. You also have to say to your CCM every time you talk to her "I just love my job and you are the best boss I have ever had." That should do it.

When I was hired years ago the attitude of the trainers was you either learn it or you do not, the sink or swim mentality. I cannot see that that has changed much. I imagine for those who make it through the first couple of months without quitting or crying or both at least deserve a $50 gift card. I wish I had gotten a card. All I got was a negative email every day telling me what I did wrong on every report the day before. Such great memories! We all know we have taught ourselves this job.

While I feel like the MT of the month selection has always been pet favorites (same with MT week) I am putting the best construction on the most improved. In my mind I see a new MT who maybe finally got over the shock of having 10 different accounts (when the recruiter told them it would be a primary and a backup) and finally learned DocQscribe only to find out they are switching to a new DocQscribe next week and wised up that no one is there to help or answer your questions so you just have to buckle down and figure it out yourself. Most improved. How about the "thank God you didn't quit like everyone else who started when you did" award!

Which is correct: "The patient is here for a 3-month followup visit." or "The patient is here for a 3 month followup visit." I was always told in this instance that it is without the hyphen becuase putting the hyphen in it will mean that the visit is 3 months long versus a visit at 3 months' time. Just received a job offer as an IC...the pay is pretty low at 0.575 cpl (increasing to 0.6 once off QA). Will probably accept this job as a 2nd part-time job...have another paying 0.07 cpl, but the owner doesn't pay on time and doesn't respond to my e-mails about it, either. Has anyone ever heard of having to pay $10 a month to the company for use of their server in order to download .wav files though? That seemed a little odd to me. I am happy to discuss via private mess ...
