I saw 3 "critical" feedback reports in a row.... - Kiki

Posted: Apr 11, 2010

today.  I had just emailed my CCM the other day about how unhappy I was with the 12 cents per day raise.  That's all I said.  Just wanted her to know I thought it was insulting.

Then all of a sudden, after only getting, I think, a total of 2 or 3 critical feedbacks that I can even remember, suddenly 3 IN A ROW, and in my opinion, NOT CRITICAL.  They were simple typos.  There was a space before a period like this .  --- that was marked as major.  Only scored 94% on these 3 reports average.

Anyway, I expected this.  Bring it on.  My question is for those who get on performance management for a failed audit (which is going to happen to me obviously, this was done by the QTL)--  does this mean they will drop my pay right away?  If they are trying to get me to quit, it's not going to happen.  I live in CA and I can get unemployment if they fire me.  I KNOW they want me to to quit.  Sorry MQ.  If they lower my pay, I think I can apply for reduced income UI.

Please, anyone who has been through perf. management because of a failed audit, could you tell me your experience, what the did, if they lowered your pay, etc.?  Thanks in Advance!

So....I called my QTL. She called me back within - Kiki

10 minutes! We talked about the critical jobs I thought I had. Apparently it was only ONE critical job. You have to look at the critical ones first I guess. But still, it was 94%. I still wasn't too happy about the reason for the score, but she said I shouldn't even worry about it because she audited 6 other jobs and overall I still passed the audit with 98%. It still makes me worry, as I cannot for the life of me see why that report was critical. I guess I should just take my own advice and let it go. It's just very hard when your paycheck is at stake. I'd still like to hear from anyone who actually has been PM'd though. I'm sure it still will eventually be my turn and would like to know what to expect. TIA

Wish I knew, but have been where you are and - still scared

[ In Reply To ..]
I did not pass my last audit but never heard a word from anyone. Next audit should be done soon and I am freaking out..

Are you sure you didn't pass, then? I understood - Kiki

[ In Reply To ..]
you'd only hear from someone if you did not pass. No news might be good news.

BTW, they do live audits now. If you happen to go in and check your statistics and see a report or two has an actual score (and the QA person is your QTL), you will know you are now being live audited at the moment.
Live as in they are watching as you type in REAL TIME? - anon

I wasn't nervous enough and now this?
Well, I don't think it's exactly LIVE....as that implies...... - Kiki
[ In Reply To ..]
but that's what they call it. However, no, it's not while you are typing...(at least I don't THINK???) To my understanding, it's right after you upload it.
live is live - sm

I work for another company who also uses DQM/DQS with the difference of it being a fully functional version without any features blocked like they are at MQ. Anyway, when they say "live" they really mean live. Whomever can actually pull up the report and look at it while you're doing it in real time.

When I first started at my other job and going through the 100% QA period, if QA thought I was taking too long on a report, they would IM me (yes actually person-to-person contact) and ask if I was having problems. If I were, they'd pull up the report I was actually doing, read what was done of it, listen to the audio and let me know if they could figure it out.

QA would rather the MTs use this "live" method over just sending blanks to them. Even now, 2 years later, I still occassionally IM QA with questions. It's makes things so nice.
Wow that sounds really great.... - Kiki
[ In Reply To ..]
the part about QA being able to IM and help out live in a report. Awesome. Not how it's done here unfortunately.

However, now that I know it's actually LIVE....I guess I better stop typing obscenities in the middle of a report when I get frustrated with a dictator....I erase of course....but it relieves tension just to fantasize about leaving it there. ahhahaha

Been with Q 6 years, Tier 3, never a problem. I - got a "critical error" and

and went below 98% for first time. Never heard anything yet. I also thought it was bogus and a bit arbitrary.

I failed one audit and - exasperated

had telephone conference in which I was informed of ways to improve my performance. No pay cut, no job loss.

You should definitely protest this audit -- I know for a fact that punctuation should have NO points taken off - definitely not a critical or major error.

Hope all MTs who get nit-picked and marked off by some idiot ''auditor'' complain nonstop. If MTs are held responsible for errors, so should these ''auditors''. If they mark off incorrectly, this should be documented and if they continue to do so, they should be let go. It's ridiculous that the people actually doing the hard work are held accountable while the nit-pickers are not. If the top-level management of MTSOs could only understand how much money is wasted on neurotic QAs, auditors, etc. who spend their time nit-picking over petty nonsense (often based on their own personal preferences and not affecting the reports'meaning in any way) maybe more money could go toward long-overdue MT raises.

Critical Error On Job Feedback
Nov 13, 2013

I received a notice of critical error that was in red and would not allow me to read the other feedback reports where I left blanks.  Since we have been warned so much about critical errors and how much weight they have, I was afraid to open this report.  The critical error was :  Alert an oriented (but what I should have typed was "alert and oriented."  I forgot the "d" on "and." I can think of so many other things that would have been a crtical error, like leaving out a di ...

Do "Client Feedback" Reports Count Against Us As Far
Apr 04, 2015

Just got a Client Feedback....65% (is that possible LOL).....I remember the report...it was one where it was totally 100% the dictator's fault...he entered the incorrect patient amongst other things like going back and forth with he and she....it was a mess!  I sent it through bc this particular dictator allows 5 blanks (he is THAT bad)....but now this.....should I bother trying to reverse.  Don't want to waste my time if it isn't going to affect my pay.    ...

Got A Critical Error For "omitting Dictation Of A Critical Nature."
Jan 04, 2010

The dictator said "... will get cardiac enzymes and will get a carotid Doppler in the morning...", or something similar, I have deleted the report.  I left out the second will.  This is not a verbatim account.  Critical error for omitted dictation pertains to lab results, normal values, etc.  I didn't think the word will meets that criteria.  I also had Tylenol No. 3 changed to Tylenol #3.  The drug lists still show it as No. 3.  ...

CRITICAL ERRORS
Jun 15, 2010

Has anyone at the Q been getting hit by "critical errors" on crazy stuff that has never been an issue BEFORE?   All of the sudden, after no feedback for about a month, no audits, nada, zilch, I got my audit and was given critical feedback for not capitilizing a department! (recovery room, radiology suite, cardiac cath lab...)  AND, in a verbatim report, with a client profile that says specifically, DO NOT ADD A HEADING IF ONE IS NOT DICTATED, for NOT adding a heading!  This makes me nuts ...

So What Is The Process If You Get A Critical Err
Jun 24, 2011

GD SOB! Have been passing all the audits with flying colors (99% or better), even the audit earlier this week.  but then I got an email today of a report with critical errors.  Real bad doctor who mumbles and changes his mind in midsentence but doesn't say 'scratch that' or 'correction' or anything like that.  sheesh.  so do they automatically put you on disciplinary action or cut your pay for one bad report?  or do i hope that on my next ...

So, I Get A Critical Error...
Apr 19, 2014

I'm supposed to provide feedback. Okay, fine, here it is: It was a typo. I sure learned a lot from your snarky auto message. Why do you have to keep making people feel bad for making a freaking typing error? Whoever is running the show at Nuance really needs to seek help. All you (they) can do is cut our wages and find fault with our work? It must be stupendously reassuring to be you and be so perfect. ...

URGENT CRITICAL BACKLOG!!!

Since When Is Misspelling A Doc Name A Major Critical Error????
Feb 14, 2013

This is a new one to me and laughable honestly. I thought we were to spell phoenetically a doctor's name in the text if we cannot find it or verify it.  So this is what I did as usual and got a MAJOR CRITICAL ERROR for putting the wrong doc name??? So I Finally Got The Dreaded CRITICAL LAB VALUE ERROR
Mar 04, 2015

So 3 points off...short report....and, course failed, 88%......I'm doomed for the next 2 weeks.  Probably now way to get up over 99% at this point.   Anyway, so I went back to check on it (I usually don't bother), I was going to try to relisten (still can't for whatever reason)...but what I DID see was that the report was sent to the client with the apparently incorrect value of 0.5 still on the report.   So they find the error but don't correct it?   ...

I Feel Just Horrible, Got 2 Critical Errors In The SAME Report....sm
