One of the absolute WORST dictators from my accounts had a gazillion jobs in the queue this morning, all about the same time stamp (must have been downloaded all at once). I started slogging through them, and after a couple hour,s noticed that his backlog was moving a lot faster. Soon, no more jobs from him were coming into my queue, and I was getting jobs from other doctors. I went to lunch, came back, and lo and behold, a couple of jobs from this doctor, now about 3 or 4 hours older. It seems obvious to me that someone had been hanging onto them and just ejected them back into the queue when they went to lunch or left for the day. Now, I'm stuck with them.

Batch of bad dictator's reports can be from the DAY before and I get every one of them. Have griped to no avail.

These particular reports, which were short reports, sat in somebody's queue for 3 hours or so before they "didn't have time to do them."

inactive for a certain length of time. Are you saying you can skip a job and it will still continue to be assigned to you?

You don't get kicked out for inactive for something like 6 hours, and you can have up to 3 jobs in your queue at a time, so it would be possible to work around a job for some time while it is in your queue, which is what I believe happened.

The jobs in docQscribe can be assigned any way the CCM wants..If your a tier 3 you get all the hard stuff, ops and the like..Im tier 3, I HATE OPS..When I first started this crap as a tier 1 all I got was ER reports, I can do them in my sleep I LOVE them..but I never get any anymore..I would be happy to take the what 2 cent paycut to be able to do the easy crap, I made a heck of a lot more money when I didnt know what I was doing..Never been in a job that rewards good work with less money :-(

I get lucky and get a streak of ERs back-to-back for one of my primaries, but that will be ending soon because their ER physicians are suppose to be getting a point and click system, not sure when.

Most of the accounts on my team do not have ERs, as they are all a part of the same organization and I think all of their ER docs use this point and click system. So we get everything else, but their ERs.

I dont mind the OPs though. I actually find them easier sometimes, that and cardiology. Because if you get a hard dictator, as long as you are really good and familiar with the terminology for the procedure they are doing, its easier to make out what they are saying.

can rack up some lines on them fairly fast, and the ASR seems to like them better also (at least on the acct I usually get). They don't require corrections for every word. There isn't as much formatting to be done. I find them a welcome break from the tedium of practically retyping clinic notes.

got this dictator, (I think I know who you're referring to) all evening this evening and all Friday night, one after another. He shouldn't even be permitted to dictate as bad as he is, plus, he can't count!! 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 6, etc. It's really scary that a doctor can't count, I don't care where he's from!!!! And I'm tired of getting stuck with him when there's other clients out there needing work to be done. but really don't have any choice unless I clock out and leave this hospital and ESL "mouth full of marbles" dicatators to some other poor MT.

I have a question. On my account I type a few notes a week, rest is all VR. So, when I see typed notes in my que, I may not take lunch or something so I can hurry up and get that note. I can type almost as fast as I can edit. My problem is this. At a certain time of day, someone comes on their shift and picks out all the typed notes and leaves me the VR. They also take good speakers. I see it ALOT. How do they do this? Can I block it? It's happened so much that now I check ...

Just wondering if anyone has had a problem with rarely ever getting to work on your primary account because you can really rack up some lines on it, only to be given crappy thick accented dictators? The reason I ask, is if work has been slow, then why are the dictations I have been getting in the evening shifts been dictated at 9 and 10 in the a.m.? Shouldn't those have been done during the day shift? I don't know how much more I can take of this place!!! ...

On 1 account that I work on, there are a couple of dictators who are the worst of the worst. They actually should be reported to their superiors. Many times each day, these reports are downloaded by MTs who simply return them and rather have no work than try to decipher what these idiots spew out. Cherry picking is wrong no matter how you look at it. That being said, I believe very strongly that being paid by productivity fosters that very thing! People who are desparate to make a living sometimes resort to doing things that they would not normally do. Add to that the fact that apparently some MTSOs PUNISH employees who do not meet minimum productivity requirements!! When did we start treating medical transcription like factory work???!!! I have all 8 hours worth of ESLs too. Hey, check my number gladly...it surely is not a FAV number by any means. Had a great account. One day I got a call to get off because the supervisor wanted it! Was taken off completely and now the entire account is gone. The programs are such that they can block off a whole grouping and assign it to one person. They think because you don't see the manager as they do, you are stupid. But I guess we are for work ...

Whenever I'm working and she is off, the incoming jobs are typical good, bad and indifferent with alternating different dictators, which is okay, just the usual.
