Cholesterol much? - no name

Posted: Mar 20, 2012

ASR just transcribed total cholesterol 1763 (dictated 173).  Where did that come from?

MMMMMMmodal ASR - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
ASR: A muscle limb a tree

Dictated: Telemetry

And I am supposed to boost my productivity when this is every other word?

Sigh. It's not just MModal. - Frustrated WMX/Nuance MT

Same word (telemetry), different outcome (phlegm a tree).

I left Medquist years ago when ASR was just being implemented and it was so inaccurate. Was recently thinking about going back to MModal, but not if ASR is still that bad.

Now just gone to gibberish - anon

ASR: Send a given by service area. The patient follows and the 1% risk of air.

The next year. The ear nerves II hypertension.

I am totally serious. Just gibberish.

thats when we SHOULD be able to F11 - sometimes I just

hit enter a couple times and start typing the report flat out full speed. Its VR rate yes, but it gets it done and out of my que quicker than trying to fix all that.

I think the VR engine is tired and overworked - bout ready to crash.

thats what I think.
Viagra for VR? - wheres_my_job

Hmm, it's having problems performing...maybe it needs a little help of the pharmaceutical kind...anyone who figures out how to give pills to computers, sans a glass of water, will be a gazillionaire and able to retire from MT'ing or anything, forever.

Sign me,

had enough and out the door

Why wouldn't - you

F11? I know I wouldn't type it at VR rate. Oh well, to each his own.
Oh trust me I do use F11, I'm just careful not to - use it too many times in a
[ In Reply To ..]
day or week, but I do use it. Its just that I do not know how many times a month or week we are allowed, so I try not to get carried away.
Why would you not do it - on every report
[ In Reply To ..]
that is horrible? So they only allow so many. They also promised me I could do twice as many reports with ASR as with typing and I can't, nowhere near. Why should I lose pay for their lousy program?
You right, I see your point. - nm

All I know is I trained the original VSR back in 2003 ish - and it was great
[ In Reply To ..]
I mean it was great once the bugs were trained out..What happened?? It is getting worse..I know that once they sent it overseas it screwed up,,but are they sending this crap through to the hospitals?? Holy cow kind of scarey...
I don't know that - the reports I had
[ In Reply To ..]
were every great. Still see the same errors I was correcting back in 2003.
Yes, its bad at times. Many things - could factor into this though..sm
[ In Reply To ..]
like you said, work going overseas, people not using proper editing techniques, the folks who are suppose to keep it maintained like the IT dept, not doing their job. Who is to say whats causing it, but could be everything all factored into one. Maybe it wasn't equiped to keep up with all these accounts, different editors, physicians, and work-types.

Who knows.
I have one hospital that ASR consistently misspells - the hospital NAME
[ In Reply To ..]
You would think the IT people could AT LEAST fix it to spell the facility right?????
Do you file an incident report for F11 and if you do what happens? - WonderingMT
[ In Reply To ..]
I was told the F11 needs a report filed every time with a reason and they are monitored and we should use it with caution. If it goes to payroll as our straight typing, then they are aware it is F11 if it is not reported as an incident. Did I understand wrong and we can just F11 without reporting?
I never report it, too time consuming. But - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I dont use it ALL the time. I can see what the other poster is saying about using it everytime she gets a bad report, but I dont.

I probably use it on average about 5-6 times a month for really lengthy reports, where the doctor has a tendency to be all over the place.

Mainly in cases where I know its going to be too time consuming for me to try to fix the report versus typing it.

I have yet to report it though and if I am ever asked about it, then I will tell them hey, the job numbers are like 16 digits long and I just dont have the time to copy down job numbers and submit tickets to the IT dept. I work on production.

If it shows up in payroll fine, there is your report. But as far as creating a ticket, no time.
I never - do ticket on
[ In Reply To ..]
any of them either, but I do it all the time, not just on so many. I stopped putting in tickets when I realized they won't remove any of them. They used to have an accuracy rate of 85% but did away with that because the program is so bad and they would be removing all of the doctors, so they screw us and try to get us to do them all for a peon wage. Again, that's how they get rich off us.
I agree, so whats the point in creating a ticket? - thats why I dont.

No, you didn't - misunderstand
[ In Reply To ..]
Of course they want you to do ASR on all reports, that's how they get rich off your back. Frankly, I don't care about their threats, I won't let them get rich off my back, when I'm doing the work. Been doing it for years and still here. I've taken enough pay cuts from these people and won't take anymore.
LOL!!! I believe her. She has been on this board - for a while saying the same
[ In Reply To ..]
thing and yes, she is still here. She is very adamant about using F11 when reports are bad.
Yes, I just - have to
[ In Reply To ..]
pop in once in a while to let you know I'm still here and still F11ing. I just wish everybody would so maybe they would get it that we are not going to take it anymore. Okay, I'm done. Have a good day.
You gotta figure they cant fix ASR - what is there to make me believe
[ In Reply To ..]
they can actually track F11..or much of anything else..from what I have seen the CCMs dont know squat about what they are doing either..NOT ALL OF YOU,,,but I can tell which ones..just saying..I worked for a company that had a REAL IT guy,,smartest guy I have ever met, and he would go over stuff with me on the phone so I learned..Wonder what they would accomplish if they had someone with a brain like this guy???
They'd know we were using F11 and getting - MThomie

SR rate if our earnings jumped up considerably. That is the bottom line isn't it. Keep the labor down. Wonder what would happen if we suddenly typed and had a good paycheck...
ST not SR. I meant straight typing not speech rec. Sheesh - MThomie
[ In Reply To ..]
SR is programmed into my brain now... have I been brainwashed????
Scary. I meant if we got paid for straight typing rate. Sorry bout that.
Because it is now almost every report this way. - no name

Still have to have this job until my ship comes in. Yes, I just straight type sometimes for editing pay. It is faster.
