Change of hours to avoid NJA - Ginger

I tried to get my hours switched just by a half hour earlier this week. I normally work 6 am to 11 am central time and i tried to get her to change it to 5:30 am to 10:30 am. Instead she emails me and wants me to change my hours to 12-5 pm because supposedly 90% of her workers work the night shift.

If so many MTs are working the night shift, then why am I constantly running out of work during the day hours?

She asks me to help out today by working an extra shift 3-7 pm for a missing MT and guess what, I am out of work 10 mintues into it!

Her logic is faulty!

No matter where I go, there's no work. TSM keeps saying it will pick up. I say HA!

that some of them are not getting off until 7 am so may be they work 10pm to 6am or 11pm to 7am.

And then you have to figure you are starting at 6am along with whatever other MTs working the day shift hours, some may start at 6am some 7am, some 8am. If thats so, then its possible the work is never getting a chance to build up and as quick as it comes in is as quick as it goes out.

Back when I worked in-house, our peak times would be around 11am and then around 5pm to 8pm we were always swamped. I worked 10am to 6:30pm and it never failed that between 5pm and 8pm we were slammed with H&Ps, OPs and Stat ERs.

I know thats not the case here because there are simply too many MTs and not enough work right now.

What is odd is that I never run out of work (third shift). I think I might be on a new account so I expect as soon as the ASR is "trained" I will be out of work too.

Why are they hiring to staff new accounts when they could just move the MTs they already have around? Well, that would just be too logical.

your account that goes overseas. I have never heard of MM sending work offshore once VR is trained. I heard it about Nuance though. My accounts have been on VR since I started here a few years back and I never have problems running out of work. Please dont stones me ladies, because my heart goes out to those who are struggling right now. I hate to see people suffering so please dont take that the wrong way.

PS - I know MM sends work overseas that is VR - but meant I have not lost

work *YET* because of it and I do work on global accounts, so I know India is working on some of my accounts too, just have not experienced loss of work because of it.

I'd avoid Softscript like the plague. They are about the worst company I've ever had the misfortune of working for.
