Any successful swapboard studies? - Adios

Posted: Apr 27, 2010

I have avoided it so far, but due to taking on a second job, I may need to take an hour here or there.  Has it worked for anyone when you are just looking for an hour or 2 at a time?

Studies???? I mean stories. Heehee. - adios

Anyone Successful...
Apr 30, 2010

In collecting UE after quitting MQ due to working conditions (NJA and other issues)?  Please share if you have, the amount, the length, and what you had to produce to get things rolling.  I have a collection of NJAs and emails begging for work and a gradually declining paycheck to produce if needed.  Thanks in advance. ...

Just Wondering If VR Is Successful?
Mar 23, 2010

Im not sure if I am posting to the right board about this and I dont know anything about VR, but I am just wondering if anyone has lost their job to a doctor who has decided to go to VR and you subsequently got your job back because the VR sucked? My doc has talked to me about how in the future he wants to go to VR, but I told him I dont see that happening....not with him anyway. He gets very distracted, repeats things, says "no change that", etc.  He may laugh or talk to the patient or ot ...

100% Successful With TAA Claim
Jun 21, 2010

I have read here that people would like to know when someone has been successful with a TAA claim. I have been 100% successful and am enrolled in school. I receive UI benefits. My school is 100% paid for. All of my books are paid for. I am given a supplies allowance per semester. I filed a claim, I was denied, I appealed, I won on appeal. The state of Colorado appealed again and their appeal was denied. There is a lot of paperwork to do, but that can only be filled out one sheet ...

May I Please Hear From Those Successful At VR?
Mar 21, 2012

I know there are many who are opposed to VR, but I would like to hear from those successful at it and enjoy it.  I need some tips.  I have to do this, and I want to get good at it no matter what. My account is fairly easy.  There are some problem dictators who should not be on there though, and this keeps my line count down to 250-300 most days.  Today, they were not on there and I edited 400 LPH!!  However, my hands are really hurting.  I am having trouble feeling ...

What Successful MTs Are Saying To Each Other When You Aren't Around
Jun 28, 2012

The "When You Aren't Around" part is just to get your attention. I know that many of you are also successful MTs. There are many others who believe they are and will argue until the cows come home to convince us that they are, when they aren't. Most successful MTs have seen the ones I'm talking about. I've been a successful MT for years. Throughout the years I've known a lot of MTs, some managing to get jobs and somehow keep them because of connections or friendships, o ...

Wmx New Changes = No Studies Available
May 03, 2011

Everyone must be kicking butt, out of work off and on Sunday, yesterday and today.  Hardly ever out of work.  I guess everyone is hitting it harder to try and make up for lost wages.  I know I have been trying to.  Yesterday and Sunday just ran out of work for short time in a.m.  Today still running out off and on. Hope the rest of the week isn't like this. ...

NJA Again - Swapboard Has Hardly Anything
Jun 02, 2010

to claim - maybe 1 or 2 shifts with 1 or 2 hours - what the ____ is MQ thinking?  I'm taking my time without pay because I'm NOT using my precious (I hardly get any) PTO that I intend to use for a vacation this summer and you can't make it up because there's nothing on the swapboard!!!  Aaah, feel better now that I've vented. ...

New OOW/No Studies Requirements
May 23, 2014

Anyone else think that the new OOW/No Studies requirements make no sense?  I had seen someone post them on here last week (but I'm sure they were taken down for posting "company information" or whatnot), and got them from my own manager shortly thereafter.  The new requirements make no sense to me and sounds like a lot of hoops to jump through just to say "Hey! I'm out of work!" So, after we send the initial e-mail, clock in and out, etc. (stand on one leg while touching o ...

Has Anyone Heard Of An Ebook The Successful Medical Transcriptionist?
Apr 23, 2012

I am a potential MT, and I was researching this field and came across an ebook called The Successful Medical Transcriptionist. It's by a lady named Shelley Wipper, she claims to have been an MT for 12 years and made a successful living doing it, and the book is supposed to give Step-by-Step insight in how to succeed in the industry. I just wanted to know if anyone the industry has in fact heard of her and her $50 ebook, or is her website thesuccessfulmedicaltranscriptionist.com just a scam. ...

Has Anyone Made The Successful Transition To Coding/billing
Sep 07, 2013

I'm thinking about getting certified in this area. Mostly considering coding as that has the smallest contact with patients and I get to work independently. I had some schooling about 20 years ago for coding, have been a transcriptionist 16 years, plus QA specialist and editor. I just want short-term schooling. I have hesitated going into this field because I am afraid it will go overseas, and that no one will give new hires a chance. I know one gal who went to school for it and gave ...

Swapboard - What A Joke
Apr 13, 2010

I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way about the swapboard; that it is crap for a FT employee.  It seems to serve the PT employees well though, because they can readily pick up more hours. I wanted to swap a shift for Saturday hours.  There was a shift the exact amount of time I needed on the Sunday prior, so I thought it would be perfect.  I was wrong.  CCM said that we are responsible for our shift, and that we are not approved OT, (meaning that I cannot take tha ...

Swapboard - Come On People And Use It
May 17, 2010

I have been trying to use the swapboard to flex my schedule around and seems like nobody is using it but a couple of people.  I am a Tier III.  I am just writing this to see if more people can use this and would like to know why no one is using it to move their schedules around instead of missing or using PTO or making up time which makes you feel like you are working every day of your life.  Please your thoughts? ...

Teamwork Swapboard
Apr 20, 2012

I need to make up some hours this weekend.  My CCM is on PTO so I can't ask her.  So the fill in CCM said to pick up hours on the swapboard.  But when I go there, there is no shifts to pick up... anywhere, not just the day I want to work.  So I looked through my emails because last week my CCM sent out instructions to use the swapboard and it is the old swapboard instructions where the links are on the left column of the screen.  The swapboard is in the top heading ...

Posting Swapboard
Apr 27, 2012

I am new to MModal. I need to post 5 hours on one of my Sundays to work to see if anyone will cover those. My CCM said I needed to post on swapboard. I can get to swapboard but I don't see anything on there to click for posting. I have went through my paperwork and can't find anything other than what swapboard is for, not posting on it. Thanks in advance for your help! ...

SwapBoard - How Does This Whole Thing Work?
May 10, 2010

I have a few questions about the SwapBoard.  I missed our conference call.  So your supervisor doesn't approve your time off anymore?  From what I understand, if you need a day off, you post your shift on the SwapBoard and hope that someone picks it up?  How does this whole thing work?  TIA. ...

Whatever Happened To This Swapboard Thing?
Dec 07, 2010

Whatever happened to this swapboard thing?  Everytime I go in to check it there are no dates/times there to swap.  Is anybody else using this?  I wanted to try to swap some hours for next Sunday to go to X-mas church service.  Sent 2 emails to supervisor and a phone call and have gotten no response in 2 weeks - that's ridiculous. So, is it up and running or not? ...

Jan 28, 2011

Normal Iron Studies With A (s/l Version) Of 25
Sep 13, 2010

The sentence is "Normal iron studies with a (s/l version) of 25." Sounds a little like version, burden, something along those lines.  Doctor is almost shouting so the audio is distorting a bit.  I know I'm going to kick myself when I figure this out.  Any thoughts?  Thanks! ...
