I started something similar today, but I like your's better. I remember the NP had mentioned to me years back something about that, bouncing between 1/2 and a whole pill to 'confuse' your body into not knowing what to expect. So far today, I did great and feel great, actually. I know its just day 1 but I'm psyched. I feel worse in the morning and when I sleep. I always begged these pain doctors to tell me why I seemed to metabolize the Vicodin so quickly at night, maybe 2 hours and then I'd wake up with withdrawal symptoms all night til morning. Then the minute I'd stand upright, the withdrawal symptoms would go away, and I'd start my day, sometimes forgetting to even take my meds for hours. But when I lay flat in bed, forget about it. Its not my baseline pain, its withdrawal, the squirrely electric-like sensations, stomach cramping, chills, Hey wait! Maybe its menopause and a hot flash, too! Wouldn't surprise me!! Bring it on, world, cause I'm psyched to be done with this!! Thanks for your kind post and great suggestions. I just got a nifty little pill cutter from my insurance company last week - think that was a hint, too?? It was so neat, but I had no idea what it was. Thought it was a stick paper dispenser or something, and nearly razored my finger tip off when I said, "ooh, what's that shiny thing?" Sending a hidden razor blade in an unidentified thingamajiggie to a blonde is NOT a good idea! LOL. Thanks again! I'll keep you posted, if you would like.  |
