ER visit and pain clinic

Had to call an ambulance yesterday because of the skull pain. Had a blood glucose of 140 in the ambulance and Afib. Went to ER, they gave me fentanyl which did nothing. Left a message for neurologist, no one has called. I am having debilitating migraines and skull pain. Have not yet started Lyrica because of the s/e. Have been to the pain clinic. They offer occipital nerve blocks, nortriptyline, Neurontin, Lyrica and breakthrough meds. It just depends on what works. Some things work for some of us and others don't. I puke on Neurontin, get fast heart rate with nortriptyline and am about out of options. My other fibro friends take guiafenesin, amitriptyline and Lyrica, Cymbalta and also collostin. Dr. Paul St. Amand's book says it all. Hope this helps.
