I use to get real angry, irritable, the littlest things would set me off. It was uncontrollable. Even to the point where I'd throw things, punch the wall, etc. As well as feeling depressed and sad, cry easily, etc. Actually, the reason I went to the doctor was because I smacked my 5-year-old son and knocked him down. I felt soooo freakin horrible. I went to my room and cried and cried and cried til morning. The scary thing is that it was so impulsive and I literally had no control when I smacked him. I called my doctor the second they opened the next day. She put me on Prozac for the week before and the week of my period. It was a miracle! I know Prozac isn't for everyone and there are a lot of stereotypes about it but I'm telling you, it was the best thing I could've done. Anyways, talk to your doctor before it gets worse.
Anyways, you're not alone. Just know that there are things that will help. You can get through it. |
