He sounds like me. I was not suited to big, noisy classrooms. Situations like that caused me to be anxious, and anxious people's brains can't concentrate and learn.
If you think 3rd grade is bad, wait until 4th grade!
I suspect there is nothing really wrong with your son except that he needs a quieter environment to learn in so he can concentrate, succeed in school, and build his confidence. If you could get him in the right situation for him, such as a Christian school with small classes or home school him, he might turn out to be a straight A student, and certainly be more confident, happy and successful in life. |
