The school punished here, then you punished her by taking away her weekend treat and not allowing her to have the book. I think that is sufficient. She probably already had to apologize for disrupting the class, even if she did not I think any more would be overkill for a minor infraction. Give her a chance. Also I would not describe her behavior as acting ugly, acting up maybe, but not ugly unless she was hitting other kids or making fun of other kids. She is just a normal little girl who talked when she was not supposed to, all kids do it sometimes. Don't make a federal case about it, but do let her know she is in school to listen to the teacher and learn, and not to talk when it is not playtime. |
