I disagree with the other poster, most insurance companies now pay for this surgery. I live in upstate NY and have not heard of ANYONE being denied unless their weight/BMI is too low and they don't need to lose at least 100 pounds. I had the surgery, just a warning, if you are a grazer (like me) you can gain ALL the weight back, even with RNY.
