you sent them the bill for $800, but obviously in that timeframe your insurance has paid it. What will you do with the $800? You are benefiting from it, not your daughter. You answer none of my questions, which leads me to think you're afraid of your own answers.
If I were these people, I would have offered to pay the hospital directly for the bill. I would also want to make sure that your insurance company was aware that the bill was paid out-of-pocket, so as not to have double payment. What you are suggesting is insurance fraud. Your insurance pays the bill and then you ask someone else to pay the bill. If I were these people, I would be quite upset at your shadiness. Just call it for what it is. It's all about the money. |
