Unfortunately, we believed them when they said they would take care of everything and that we didn't have to worry about anything.
We filed a police report, and the hospital filed a report with the health department, but the dog wasn't impounded for 10 days. In fact, just a few weeks after the incident, the son of the homeowner had the dog without a leash right next door to our house! I had to ask him twice to put the dog up.
My husband told me next time don't say anything to them, just call animal control, which is what I plan to do from now on. |
