23 years now), and my roots now grow in gray and at last check I was probably 75% gray. I was using Natural Instincts as I was afraid to go permanent and didn't want to pay a salon, but my cousin dyed my hair with Clairol Perfect 10 which is permanent, and my hair looked the best it has in years. I waited about 5 months in between dyes and the color faded out naturally without leaving gray roots...how wonderful is that! Now I swear by that. There is a slight odor until you rinse it out and use the conditioner, but that goes right away.
Hope this helps. Isn't it awful how men are encouraged to keep their gray (there's now a men's dye where they can leave some gray in), but women are "supposed to" dye their hair? |
