Being a good provider is not as important as respecting and loving your wife. Your suggestion is what has caused so many children to grow into adults incapable of healthy relationships. Look at the statistics. In the 50s and 60s, women stayed married regardless of the relationship. Those kids of those families grew up and got married and had some of the highest divorce rates in history. The last report I heard showed that divorce was trending down in comparison to those all-time highs. |
