woman from Georgia whose mother-in-law, husband, and two sons were afflicted with Hungtinton's disease. She broke promises to her husband and sons by placing them in nursing homes because she could no longer care for them. She shot both sons at the nursing home out of love and compassion. At the end of the show this time they reported that her youngest son is now also diagnosed with this dreaded disease.
There is a suspicion my father had it, too. It is a terrible disease and the story just broke my heart. She is out of prison now, but the youngest son has a daughter. They are obviously afraid this young girl will eventually be diagnosed with it, too. They attributed my father's twitching, etc. to meds for Parkinson's disease, but there was also suspicion that he may have had Huntington's. |
