Of interest is the fact that they have now determined that obesity costs society more than smoking does in healthcare and lost work time. Do you also feel it necessary to accost people as they enter Dunkin' Donuts? Do you picket outside Dairy Queen to help those people realize the error of their ways? Have you thrown yourself in front of the Land O'Lakes delivery truck to avert someone switching from Shed's Spread to sweet cream butter? I don't know a single smoker who is in denial (which can't be said about those people who find it necessary to pontificate...for our own good, of course!). I don't know a smoker who thinks they're going to live to see 100. Fortunately, when we meet our premature demise, St. Peter at those gates can't possibly be as judgmental as you. |
