Comparing spaying to declawing is like comparing apples to oranges. We have hysterectomies all the time and because of the pet overpopulation it is necessary. I believe a cat would prefer to keep the end of his toes and not have them cut off above all the horrible circumstances above. Bet you couldn't type very well if you had the end of your fingers at the first joint cut off.
