hitting a child is just an adult's way of throwing a temper tantrum. I'm not saying that a toddler should be explained things to, but often times just a firm voice can do the trick.
I have 3 boys and time-outs last longer than a spanking would and it gives me a chance to chill out. Inflicting pain on someone does not teach them not to do something. It teaches them to inflict pain on others. |
