Why can't we get someone in there who is like a regular Joe or Jane like I know--"Yeah, I'm sort of religious. You know, I go to church on Christmas and Easter if the kids haven't eaten 15 pounds of sugar already. Otherwise, I usually sleep in a bit and get ready to watch the Nascar race." I'm not dissing religion by any means--that's not the intent of my post. I'm just interested that all the candidates always profess that they are so religious when it's time to pander for votes. Sure, I believe some of them are religious, but I have a hard time believing that they all are so religious as they want us to believe. The best thing I think I heard Ron Paul say (and I'm no Ron Paul fan) was something to the effect of how unfortunate it would be if Mitt Romney (who I am not a fan of either) or anyone else was not elected simply because of religion. I couldn't agree more.
