was considered "same day" because I was discharged prior to 24 hours. I had my surgery on a Monday and returned to work on Wednesday. Every insurance company is different, check into your insurance very very well and have full knowledge of what they cover and what they don't. There are ALWAYS surgical complications that CAN occur, I have been fortunate and have had no complications. lapbandtalk.com is a fantastic website to go into to.
