those black trays with the green poison pellets. Lucky for us the rat went who knows where to die but it did not stink up the house. Though something did die right under our living room a few months ago and the smell came up through the electrical outlet in the floor (have 2 there), just covered it up though with the phone book with couch over it and the smell went away in a week or so. Neither one of us would crawl under the house to remove the remains (not a lot of room in our crawl space 12-24 inches). But I would go the poison route and just hope it goes outside to die. |
