Sorry, but I don't condone a 16-year-old having a baby, regardless of how much money that 16-year-old might have. Getting pregnant is evidence of lack of taking effective precautions - it is extremely rare that people get pregnant if they are using precautions. BCPs are not enough - a backup, barrier method is mandatory both for STD protection as well as backup birth control.
No 16-year-old is ready to raise a kid. The baby deserves better.
Open your eyes, look at the world around you, see these young teenagers having kids so that they can get emancipated from their parents, and see what kind of lives they have. We taxpayers pay for the majority of these kids raising kids and even if Jamie Lynn has the financial resources to hire nannies, etc., society will pay the price for any child raised by another child.
I also disagree with your statement that all 16-year-olds have sex - some have a lot of self respect and want a better life for themselves and they don't all get into premature sexual activity. They have their whole lives to be sexually active and they see no point in rushing into it.
The mother of Britney and Jamie Lynn obviously did not do her job. IMO she was too busy making money off Britney to be a real mother to either girl.
I feel for Britney and wish someone would intervene on her behalf and get her some help - she is a little girl lost. |
