Like I said, it's not ideal, but so many people are so judgemental toward people who have kids young - at least they didn't take the easy way out and get an abortion. I am not a pro lifer, but I do respect people who are willing to step up and raise their kids no matter what age they are. I have friends who were forced to have abortions by their parents because they got pregnant young because the parents were so afraid of what people would think, and that's not right either.
I don't think their mom is going to win any mother-of-the year awards, but if she didn't accept Jamie Lynn's decision than she greatly reduces her chances of having a good relationship with the grandchild. Babies are a gift - even when they aren't born into the perfect suburban home. I'm not saying teen pregnancy is a good thing, but it happened, and now she has to make the best of a tough situation. |
