When I say they lie, I wasn't just referring to him promising to leave his wife for me. I meant from DAY 1..he was in the middle of a divorce, they were selling their house and she had moved back home to another state.. Fair enough, the house was almost empty and yes she was long gone. We dated for months and I fell hard for him..and I'll never forget the day he told me he was "moving." He was in the military so I knew that moves were bound to happen but what he failed to tell me was that he was joining his wife in that other state...Apparently, she had gone down there months earlier to set up their home there while he finished up his job here. I remember getting physicially ill. I had never been a "cheater" before and I was in love with this man...But wait, there's more..he professed undying love and that he never expected to fall in love and he didn't want to go there but had to for his military ordered transfer, that he loved me and he'd leave her when he could blah, blah blah..liar liar..And yes, she found out about me but stayed anyway..Why, because he obviously keep blowing smoke up her tailpipe too..I"m sure she never knew of the years that followed when he called nonstop crying..I really am sorry for her, that she loved and believed in someone like that and that I did..Shame on us. |
