in the family's butts, but I think you're right that some education needs to be done for the family and the school, which it sounds like she's trying to do, and maybe some help getting control of the situation. In the case involving my daughter, that particular family did have pretty bad living conditions, not the childrens' fault for sure, but nevertheless I know for a fact that the mother ot this particular family would not have appreciated one bit me standing on her doorstep asking to help clean up her house, probably would have booted my rear from one end of the street to the other. That's why I agree that someone needs to educate on this type of thing, but not necessarily parents to the family with the problem. I agree, the school system needs to step up and provide proper education and get someone involved who can help out if necessary. There was no way I could have sent my daughter back to school in her condition, and it was time consuming and exhausting. True, not life-threatening, but still very stressful. |
