he is 12 .... he is kind of a health nut. Even raw vegetables? My son likes raw cucumbers, red peppers (not green), frozen peas right out of the bag, carrots.
how about pasta that is part whole grain - (I think Barilla and other brands available in the supermarket have this) does not have the heavier taste of completely whole wheat pasta. Rice? (try different types). natural peanut butter.. will they eat whole grain bread? Fruit (especially if they won't eat vegetables) is good.
My son likes this: I marinate some strips of lean beef in a mixture of soy sauce, a little sugar, some sesame oil, garlic, and scallions (somewhere I have a recipe) and then broil them... it's Korean dish called bulgogi (or my adaptation of this). He eats it with rice. |
