are there any fathers around? He may not be so bad if you give him time to take his guard down. If his mom is not around much, that is probably better, you may have a better chance with him. It will take time and patience on your part; see what you can do to make him better, maybe also get him invovled in yardwork, pay him, give him some responsibility; do it when the mother is not around. Who knows how she grew up; stop the cycle with him.
