no, not if you are interested in eating healthy. I believe here in the south as elsewhere people just are not looking to their foods as the basic for other health issues. I never eat fried at home, never, we cook with olive oil, tonight having mixture of squash, zukes, onions, garlic, roasted chicken with brown rice. We never cook with anything except olive oil, do not use lard or Crisco-have no flour in the house to put baste foods in, have never ate mac and cheese and don’t even know what a fried cheesecake is, never heard of a fried biscuit. Just think, we both live in Georgia - Paula and I and our eating completely different. |
