I have been an MT for about 20 years. I started when my youngest was about a year old. My husband used to work evenings, and basically was not much help because he worked a lot of OT. When I look back, I don't know how I did it. I have 3 kids now, the oldest being 21, the youngest 11. It gets easier as they get older and go off to school, but the guilt over working when everyone is home never goes away. No matter how much I have begged and pleaded to be left alone to work, I think they think I am surfing the net in here. My husband is the worse offender. Talks to me from the kitchen whenever he is here! That said, I wouldn't have wanted to work away from home all these year; nothing is perfect, but this has been very good to me. Hang in there, it will get better! |
