As one of the poster below states, is it possible she misunderstood? I'm not sure it is possible to have part of your uterus removed. Maybe they did an ablation - rarely they will do one in a D/C if the endometrium is in rough shape. She needs to have another exam by a different provider and needs to have her husband or someone in the room with her when the provider explains the findings. I hope the very best for her. If they did harm her, she needs to sue!!
