Had my colonoscopy and biopsy on Wednesday last week. The doctor went out and told my mom and brother that he was almost positive the polyp (about the size of a 50 cent piece) was malignant. He told them he had never seen one that large that wasn't. He asked mom if I had a surgeon I would prefer because I was going to have to have an exploratory lap, partial colectomy, and probably a colostomy because of the location of the polyp. He called my family doctor and gave him the report of the procedure.
Well, DRUMROLL!!! The doctor called me Thursday afternoon. The biopsy was benign!!!!!!! Whoohoo!! Praise the Lord God!!!!!!!!!! He told me he was very suprised, but pleased. Then he said, "that just goes to show that someone else is in charge besides me!" I will have to be watched very closely, but I can deal with that. Now onward and upward!
