I have worked for many years at home for one of our local hospitals. We have full benefits, etc, etc. Tomorrow morning, we have been called in for a meeting where we are sure to be laid-off, fired, or whatever you want to call it. Our hospital hired a company to find ways to save them money. When I looked this company up on the internet I discovered that they totally specialize in outsourcing transcription to places like India. I have been doing medical transcription for close to 25 years, so I am not a young person. On looking around, I see that I cannot make the money that I am used to making, and medical insurance will be a thing of the past for me. The sad thing is - I have a child with a chronic illness that requires regular care for the rest of his life! Oh, did I mention that I am single, so there is no other income!!!
Please pray for us. I have no idea in the world what will happen to us. |
