It seems our coders do generally have a better pay scale from what I have been told by the hospital administrator himself BUT, if you are a big producer of MT work you would probably have to take a pay cut for a while until you gain the experience needed to do coding.
Our coders did work from home but all were brought back in-house, I don't know why except I heard it had something to do with HIPPA.
I understand that you mean by back biting though. Our coders are their own family. Last Christmas for example we were going to, as a department, buy our OM a gift. The Coders would not participate because they had their own gift. That set some people off. LOL. |
