I was taught the very same thing and know from experience that you can't trust a doctor's spelling or punctuation. If they spell it out for you, it is probably wrong! What they are thinking is that unskilled people working for minimum wage will be able to do the job satisfactorily. I could go even further and say that anyone who works for an MTSO should be stoned, but I guess that would offend too many people. I just happen to think we should all be working for hospitals or clinics and cut out the middle men.
