As an IC, you can deduct so many things that you can't deduct if you're an employee. I would say best advice is to check with a tax professional because I think you'll come out on the short end if you become an employee. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that if they're paying some taxes for you, you're an employee, but the IRS is the one who makes that final determination. |
