but after working inhouse I know they the med recs departments know of the problem and do try to talk to the doctors about it. most doctors just think they are above some things. I also know that sometimes the doctors and med recs departments don't set the TAT, the CEO or board of directors do based on JHACO and other audits. They also do build in some requirements for physician's to get things done in a timely manner and physician do get cited but (at least where I worked) it meant little to nothing. The physicians had no problem taking the slap on the hand for being late on dictation. |
