According to the EditScript V8 foot pedal configuration, we CAN now use the USB foot pedals. However, I haven't tried it.
There also might be a program on your laptop that is somehow interfering with the audio on EditScript V8. Were you able at any time to play audio with EditScript V8 on your laptop with the foot pedal?
For instance, when I downloaded the toolbar from eBay, I suddenly was not able to get my footpedal to work, though it was working great before this. I was able to play audio with the ALT keys, but just couldn't get used to it. My foot pedal, btw, is just a standard 9-pin.
In my case, I knew that the footpedal and audio worked just fine the day before. So, in order to get the foot pedal to play audio again on EditScript V8, I had to do a system restore, restoring my system back 2 days, to when I didn't have that ebay toolbar on my laptop. I don't know if system restore would help you if you don't know if/what other programs might be interfering, but there might be some other program that is interfering; for instance, Yahoo or Google toolbar. |
