With the way the economy is, and many transcriptionists looking for work, I'd forget the raise idea for a bit. I've been doing this for 8 years with no raises. It just does not happen when you're an IC that often. I do give myself raises, in that I work hard to improve my speed, I use my Expander to the fullest, and I add more work. The more efficiently you do what you do, the more earning potential you have. Best of luck with the raise thing. I do hope they accept the request and keep you, though it can backfire. |
