I agree with the other poster that there is more to consider than a good rate of pay. In house has many beneifts, generally higher rate of pay, but also many negatives. I think personal situations come into play here more than money - it dosen't sound like you are worried financially but rather don't want to be taken advantage of. From my experience, in house is great if you need experience or years under your belt. It's not usually a good fit for those with kids, long distances to drive, or who just want to sit and type. Most in house facilities add other responsibilities or schedules that change on a weekly basis, including holiday coverage and that can pose a problem to a parent. In house is usually a 24/7 - 365 job with a rotating schedule.

In my area, 2 years ago I started at $14 something an hour and left at almost $16 at the beginning of this year.
