I quit an hourly MT in hospital job to do this. I hated that job so much, I was drinking. Since I started this one my personal life is vastly improved. Quit drinking, I get to church, and so on. BUT. I have been Transcriptionist for 9 years and I am now making less than the minimum wage. No matter what I do I cannot get more than 600 lines and it is just not enough. I am living on my savings. I don't know what I'm going to do, because now I'm 62 and I applied at anohter hos but you know...they called the old one which was NOT a good situation. I am paying $500/mo for Cobra and I will NEVER qualify at this company for insurance. I did not know it would be this hard to make a few lines. I'm glad I quite that awful place but I'm stuck now.
