I never listen ahead, this only backfires maybe 10 percent of the time, lucky for me. I suppose I go word for word? I've never thought about it...
But to me it is a waste of time, maybe because I type fast so if I type something that wants erased, it's way better than listening ahead to see if they actually want to keep what they said to begin with. I mean, hopefully you get used to the docs and their style and if it is a doc that is notorious for changing his mind, then obviously it's a good idea to listen ahead, but I can't imagine in a normal case it would be!! |
