Personally, I think the companies just get so many resumes and have to weed through them. First come first serve is probably how they handle it. So, my suggestion would be, if you are seriously looking, be one of the first ones to send you resume as soon as the jobs post. Maybe that will help. To be honest, I have been applying to ads that are a few days to a week old. I think that is probably the key to no response.
