I really appreciate everyone's input. I think I'm going to take a chance and ask for some sort of compensation. She can only say "no" right? It wouldn't hurt anything. And, like one of you said, if I don't I will wonder about it. I don't like uncertainty and I'm just going to close my eyes and do it. Scary...yes, but possible worth it.
